Job Title:  Marketing and PR Manager

Location:  Bryanston

Salary: Market related CTC

Role Overview: Entrench Lightstone and affiliated brands as the undisputed leaders in the various markets we serve. To proactively identify, motivate, implement and maintain the tasks or functions that will create an effective marketing programme for Lightstone and its affiliated brands.  




Role Requirement and Functions:

Experience in a range of marketing and public relations functions as described below. In addition, have experience within the technology industry and be comfortable working with basic datasets, graphs and charts – much of the content is very specific, very technical and requires interpretation.  Skills in desktop publication and / or design packages (CorelDraw / Photoshop) highly recommended. 


Reputation:

Nurture, protect and elevate Lightstone’s reputation of being accessible thought-leaders, providing reliable information and insights to the markets we serve, using the following tactics:


Public Relations

  • Liaise directly with journalists and editors with specific requirements, e.g. prepare data for article usage. Data interpretation skills advantageous.
  • Secure PR opportunities – both on-and off-line – including trade shows and advertising.
  • (Does include an element of preparation of a few regular pieces for some publications – deadline management essential.)
  • Monitor and report on coverage using Newsclip and Google Alerts for notifications.

Online Marketing
  • Website maintenance for effective SEO and SEM.  Basic HTML and experience on CMS is advised as you will be responsible for content creation and maintenance on the site.
  • Monitor and manage the Lightstone Google Adwords account and campaigns. 
  • Track and measure all online activity with Google Analytics. 

Branding
  • Ensuring that all marketing, promotional or informative material complies with Lightstone brand and corporate identity.
  • Oversee and observe house-of-brands approach to product development ensuring consistency in look-and-feel and branding


Relationships:

Encourage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, with:

Email Marketing

  • Manage the, predominantly B2B, email marketing function for Lightstone, in particular the Property and Consumer Intelligence divisions.
  • Combination of regular, scheduled newsletters and ad hoc communications. Responsible for generation and preparation of content, database management, distribution and tracking of all HTML based email campaigns.
  • Previous experience with best practice email marketing guidelines and techniques, including working with an online ESP (Mailchimp) and knowledge of basic HTML would be required.

Key Relationships / Partnerships

  • Identify and oversee touch points for creation and management of key relationships and / or partnerships for Lightstone and affiliated brands.
  • Identify and manage opportunities for sponsorship to support these relationships, e.g. Golf Days, Lunches, Workshops, Corporate Gifting, etc


Research:

Effective use of research to deliver insights for application both internally and externally.

  • Using and repurposing internal research findings to create content in the form of case studies, white papers, videos, presentations and press releases.
  • Driving client research to inform and direct marketing campaigns, e.g. gap analysis, hot spots, risk, as well as new product development and assessing customer satisfaction.
