Poor quality property information causes enormous amounts of inefficiency, waste and unnecessary cost for many mortgage providers. Lightstone's property validation system will largely eliminate the problem of poor quality property information. The system - built on Deeds Office records - enables users to validate and correctly capture property information at origination.
The system has been designed with user-friendly search functionality and a number of useful risk-management features. It eliminates spelling and transcription errors by enabling the user to find the subject property using drop-down menus and database searches. Once found, the user validates the property and the system automatically submits the correct property information with the application. The key to the system is that users are prevented from `hand-capturing' property information. To deal with any exceptions that may arise - for example where the Deeds Office information is inaccurate - Lightstone offers a help desk function with guaranteed turnaround times.
The system has proven to be more than 90% effective on registered properties and can be operated on a standalone basis or integrated into a client's application processing system.
