Blueprint GIS System:  Blueprint is a web-based GIS (geographic information system) system that guides strategy development and supports ongoing sales and marketing efforts in the SA real estate and mortgage markets. Amongst other things, the system provides detailed mortgage and transfer information in a unique spatial format that enables users to drill from a national view all the way down to a suburb. Of particular relevance to estate agents is that the system shows the following for each geographic area:

• Transfer information by property type (freehold, sectional title and estate), transfer type (new sales and repeat sales) and price band (<R400k, R400-800k, R800k-1.5m, R1.5-3.0m and >R3.0m) for the last 3 and 12 months respectively
• Transfer market comparative analysis for the last 5 years
• Bond information by bank and bond type for the last 3 and 12 months respectively
• Bond market comparative analysis for the last 5 years

Blueprint is available as an off the shelf product or can be customized to reflect client territories and data requirements. The product can be further enhanced by adding client market share and other proprietary data. The system is accessed via a user-friendly browser interface and can be activated in real time.
